Optional Student Internships

Students may choose to do an internship with a local company in place of an elective. ESGCI provides internship support services, but all internships must first be approved by the Dean before starting. Upon completion of the internship, the intern must write a report to be defended orally before a jury to receive academic credit.

Optional Student Thesis

Students may choose to write a thesis on a subject they decide with faculty. They must defend their written thesis in front of a jury.

Degree requirements

The BBA-ESGCI Program has developed a core of courses to ensure students will have the knowledge and analytical tools necessary to excel in their business careers.These compulsory subjects include management, marketing, accounting, information systems, behavioral sciences, economics, and quantitative approaches to decision-making. All students must pass these compulsory courses before selecting a major.

In addition to the required curriculum, BBA candidates choose a major which consists of eight electives within their chosen field, and the foreign language of their choice, which allows them to specialize and expand their knowledge.

To receive the BBA-ESGCI degree, students must:

  • Earn at least a C in all compulsory courses at all levels,
  • A TOEFL score of at least 200 must be obtained for all non-native English speakers (test may be taken at our testing Centre),
  • A major must be selected (Finance, Management or Marketing) and 8 courses within the major must be successfully completed to be awarded the degree,
  • Students may, but are not required, choose a minor (five courses within a specialization),
  • One foreign language must be taken each semester,
  • All prerequisites may be waived upon taking an equivalency exam or upon request for transfer credit,
  • 40 Courses must be successfully completed partly in the BBA-ESGCI Program for a total of at least 120 credit hours (+ 6 credits for ECA, Extra Curricular Activities).
  • The results of students in all their courses are transcripted in a GPA (Grade Point Average).

Faculty and the Administration reserve the right to open up a session in any required subject, regardless of the semester, provided there is sufficient enrollment; likewise Faculty and the Administration reserve the right to cancel any required subject, regardless of the semester, if the enrollment is inadequate.

Exchange programs

The PGSM Group offers student exchange programs with over 70 universities around the world. The Administration encourages BBA students to spend a semester abroad at one of the Group's partner universities. BBA degree candidates receive full credit for all courses successfully completed abroad at the host institution.
